CanSkate

Program Objective

CanSkate is Skate Canada’s official ‘Learn to Skate’ program; it is the only Nationally Recognized Learn to Skate Program. Lessons are given in a group format and are led by our Skate Canada Nationally certified professional coaches and are assisted by program assistants who are volunteers.

The CanSkate program provides children with the best foundation for figure skating, hockey, speed skating and ringette. Skaters learn fundamental skating skills in a group setting promoting fun, fitness and participation while developing basic skills. Skaters are grouped by age and ability and earn badges as they progress through the various levels.

It is an excellent program to teach Canadians to skate for the joy of skating at any age or ability.
